Be careful what you say...you never know who's listening.
A precautionary tale about tempting fate
I just wanted to explain my long absence from SubStack.
A bit over a week ago, not long after getting back into Australia after my amazing hiatus in Colorado and finally starting to get over jet lag, I was talking with some friends. I happened to mention that since the beginning of the scamdemic, I hadn’t had so much as a cold. (not counting the time I got irradiated in Canberra at the protest - but that wasn’t natural so I didn’t include it).
That night - I kid you not! - I went down like a ton of bricks. Sore throat, cough, and feeling just plain crap. I didn’t get out of bed for 3 or 4 days nor did I eat for that entire time. Just sips of water - grudgingly - everything tasted like blech. 🤮
Yesterday was the first day I started to feel a bit better. And today, I’m better still. A day under 30 degrees would definitely make the healing process go faster. See, I’m trying the same trick that got me sick in the first place! 😜 Are you still listening?
So, expect continued posts from me for the foreseeable future as I will be super careful what fates I tempt and whose karma I challenge from now on!
Thanks for your patience and understanding 🙏
I doubt some malevolent being, karma or whatever got you. But I certainly believe plane travel is extremely unhealthy. Several hours breathing in recycled air, sitting next to jabbed people etc certainly taxes our immune system. Wishing you continued recovery and thank you for making this world a better place.
The change in environment Meryl, North to South. Plus who knows what they spray in the aircraft cabin.
