Bigotry is not acceptable in society or medicine
Doctors who denies life-saving surgery should be struck off
Bigotry (def): the fact of having and expressing strong, unreasonable beliefs and disliking other people who have different beliefs or a different way of life
Baby August Stoll was born with congenital heart defects which require surgery in order for him to survive. This is not unusual. My best friend in the US was one of the first people to receive such surgery and was a poster child for the March of Dimes as a result. The only prerequisite for being seen by her doctors was a need to have surgery in order to live life to the fullest - or at all. Today, at 65, she is still going strong.
August, however, may not get the same chance and that is because of the bigotry of a doctor who is refusing to operate on him. David Bearl (pictured below) has basically said that this child should die rather than lifting a finger to save his life - something that is in his power to do - simply because he is not vaccinated.
August is the youngest of 5 children and his parents, homeschoolers who are very involved in the decision-making process for their family as all good parents should be, believe that giving him the complete cocktail of vaccines the surgeon is demanding will lead to his death.
Contraindications not considered
They are most likely right. Children with severe health problems, allergies, immunosuppression and issues like August’s used to be automatically considered exempt from vaccination.
That was back in the halcyon days when doctors cared about the person sitting in front of them and not just how a few refusers might affect their back pocket or their reputation if they were seen caring for such people.
This is bigotry, plain and simple. We would not stand for a doctor taking such action based on a patient’s skin colour, country of origin, religious beliefs or sexual preferences. Yet somehow, it is now considered to be perfectly fine for a bigoted doctor to tell the family of a 6-month-old that their son should die because of their decision - an informed one to be sure - which he disagrees with.
The doctor/God complex
Doctors are not God. They do not have the power to make these decisions. They are there to do a job to the very best of their ability and in this case, the doctor in question is not doing his job and he should be fired, struck off and never allowed near a patient again.
A State Senator, Jack Johnson, has been in touch with Bearl and the facility he works for, Vanderbilt Medical Center, but the doctor is insisting that his prejudice will not change. Senator Johnson introduced legislation into the Tennessee legislature earlier this year to make it illegal for doctors and hospitals to deny transplants to patients who had not taken the COVID jab.
As quoted in the Epoch Times, Senator Johnson said, “You shouldn’t deny life-saving treatment to a six-month-old baby based on a legitimate concern a parent has,” Johnson said, “As a parent, I would be beside myself. ”
Pressure needs to be applied to Dr Bearl and the hospital telling them that bigotry will not be tolerated. There should be no hateful comments, simply letting them know that this case is being watched from around the world and they will be held accountable should August’s condition worsen or, God forbid - he should die as a result of their negligence. They are not operating in darkness - the eyes of the world are fairly and squarely on them.
The parents have shared these contact details - stating that the phone lines to Vanderbilt University Hospital are jammed right now. You do not need to be in the US to write or call so please take 5 minutes today to do this.

August’s parents have set up an Instagram page where people can stay in touch with what is happening in this case. @FightForAugust is the page and the fundraising site where you can give to help support this battle is at GiveSendGo.
Would you let that monster operate on your baby? I'd be finding another doctor.
