I'm going to say a naughty word so look away if you're easily offended...RESPONSIBILITY!
The one word that gets bleeped out of our consciousness more than any other
I’m back! And I’m bemused. I think that’s the right word?
Over the last couple of weeks while I’ve been recovering from eye surgery, I’ve listened to many podcasts (I couldn’t read for a while) and then read many posts, articles and emails written by well-meaning people who are pissed off about where we find ourselves today.
I don’t blame them. Being pissed off has been my normal state of mind for quite some time.
What makes me feel bemused, however, is that many people think that talking about what they are angry about or think is wrong will actually change things for the better!
REALLY?
When did we become so detached from reality as to believe that banging our anger out to the bots on FaKeBook, Twitter, Instagram or anywhere else online is the same as “donning the armour of God” and going to battle against the enemy?
To dig deep into my inner cliché, talk is cheap, and we need action!
It’s time push away from the computer…
Do you know that comfort zone you’re most likely sitting in right now?
Well, it’s time to get up and be uncomfortable. Because the future planned for us will not be comfortable in any way at all. In fact, if those pulling the strings (whoever they are) have their way, most of us, our children and everyone we care about will be dead within a relatively short space of time.
So, the choice is yours - life or death? I know which side I’m on!
Help yourself
If you are a grownup, you need to work out what to do by yourself. You can get advice and ideas from others but when it comes to actually taking positive action, you’ve got this! Go for it.
This may make a lot of you very angry but it needs to be said. One of the things that differentiated my first 15 years as President of the Australian Vaccination Network with the next 13+ was changing my paradigm to believing that it was my job to hold everyone’s hand and walk them through what needed to be done to expecting them to do things for themselves.
It didn’t do them any favours to enable their helplessness because they constantly had to come to the AVN for the simplest things they could have worked out for themselves. It wasn’t their fault! Our society has taught us that we are not qualified, capable or able to make smart choices or take action - we need a socialist ‘dear leader’ to tell us what to do every step of the way. We need an ‘expert’ who is totally clueless (like the majority of mainstream medical doctors, for example) to give us advice and we should do whatever they tell us without asking questions.
The number of times I had someone call (yes, people really did use the phone back then! Halcyon days!) and tell me the problem they were having and ask - what should I do? After spending hours on the call going over all the available choices only to see that they really could and did figure out the right answer themselves, I finally decided to say to them - I don’t know? What do YOU think you should do? Eureka moment that took me 15 years to achieve. I’m a slow learner…
You are the solution
The problems of the world today - which are considerable - aren’t going to fix themselves. It’s going to take you, and you and yes, you too - to do something. That ‘something’ should include (in no particular order):
Calling to make an appointment to see your Federal Member of Parliament and, if they are within driving distance, your Senators too. They need to hear what you think about the direction this government is taking. Do you want to lose your freedom to speak, think and move freely once again? Do you feel that the ‘health’ authorities have the right to require you to be a guinea pig in order to go outside or work at your chosen profession? If so, stay home and don’t worry your little head. But if you think these choice are and should always be yours and yours alone, then they need to hear that. If you don’t want to go by yourself, contact, friends, family, on-side friends and go as a delegation. And once you’ve done this, write about it on social media and in the comments below to inspire others to do the same. Courage is contagious - infections aren’t.
Speaking with anyone and everyone from strangers on the street to your significant other if they are not yet awake, about what is happening and how you feel about it. Don’t just go up to people willy-nilly and say - “Hi there, did you take the COVID jab?” No! But when the situation is right, and you will know when it is because after all, you’re an intelligent and perceptive adult who can do this, raise the issue and see where it leads. One thing that I’ve always found helpful is wearing a t-shirt that starts conversations. I have a huge range of them - from Ask Me Why I Don’t Vaccinate to My Body My Choice. You will be surprised (or maybe not), that in the last 4+ years, I have had many, many conversations like because of these shirts and not once has it led to anything other than questions or agreement. There are more of “us” out there than you would believe and even those who are asleep are starting to wake up and just need a little push. You can be the helper who gently and with love pushes them toward the truth.
I know this is really old-fashioned (read quote above regarding phone calls for further details), but if you listen to the radio or internet radio, start calling in when the issues of vaccination, freedom, tyranny and human rights are discussed. Make your voice heard! What you have to say is valuable - don’t keep it inside. The same goes for writing letters to the media / local councils / state officials, etc. We have been cowed into silence and it’s only going to hurt us in the long run so deep breath. In…out…in…out. And as my kids used to say to me when I got flustered - use your words!
Lastly, remember your why. For me - my why is my children. I’m nearly 66 years old and I’ve had my children, I’ve lived my life and I’ve had a really good time doing it too. That’s not to say that I don’t want the next 20-30 years, I absolutely do. But my children’s lives are near the beginning. They have so much to look forward to and I will do anything and everything in my power to protect them and to make sure they have the same opportunities I did. There are dark forces out there who wield way too much power and whose ultimate goal is taking away my children’s rights, liberty and ultimately, their lives. What wouldn’t I do to make sure that goal is never achieved? What would you do? What is your why? And will you stop at nothing - even doing things that scare you - to achieve it?
On the shoulders of giants
Lastly, I look at the generation that is older than I am - that of my parents. My father was born in 1921 - my mother in 1925. They had to fight for everything - through the depression, through a World War, through racism and sexism. Things were not easy back then - but neither were they. They knew that anything worth having was worth the struggle. So they worked hard and achieved so much as a result.
It’s time for us to take a page out of that generation’s book and start to rock the attitude of - do it for yourself - nobody is going to hand you your rights on a silver platter so get to work!
We owe it to our collective “WHYs” to take this seriously now, while we still have a small window of opportunity to do so.
I have been wearing a t-shirt that was designed by a young lady as a result of The Forest of the Fallen display. Front says Covid Vaccine Injured ? with links to information. The back has 10 personal stories as shown in the display of the injured. I also have forestofthefallen.com & other information written on my rear windscreen in waterproof pens. I have at times in the 4 years had facts & figures re: Covid & the jabs information written on every door panel & laminated facts, pictures & stats on my rear passenger seat windows. It would be my greatest joy to see every unvaccinated & now the awake vaccinated write something on there rear windscreen. Image the impact that could have. My T-Shirt & my rear car window have been instrumental in meeting & talking to many people. All positive.
This is by far the best post I've read in the last 12 months. You're exactly right and although I protest his the petitions and email
Politicians. IT's about time I and a few friends paid a visit to a few senators. Our local labor MP would give us the short shift.
