This is what happens when you let drug companies test their own products and there is no government or independent oversight. If you invite corruption into your house, it will take up residence and be very hard to move. This is yet more evidence (if we really needed more!) of the fact that drug companies cannot be trusted to perform this research. It is time and past time for governments to fund independent research into all currently licensed drugs and vaccines and to remove the licenses from those that don't work and are not safe. If Obama and other governments want to reduce their sickness care spending, this would be a great place to start.
