The 'myth' of toxins in vaccines
Myth: Vaccines contain toxic ingredients
On this particular myth, Dr Rachie is truly drawing the longest of long bows! Like so many scions of the organisation, the Australian Skeptics (a truly poor name for this group that is so unskeptical about anything as long as it has been approved by mainstream medicine), Rachie does not mind using smoke and mirrors to achieve her goals. She is saying quite clearly in the title that it is a myth that vaccines contain toxic ingredients, yet in the body of her proof to show that they don’t, she goes on to say that yes, they do contain toxins but they are in such small quantities, they couldn’t possibly hurt you!
Come on, Rachie! Either vaccines contain toxins, therefore you have not got a leg to stand on – or they don’t. Obviously, they do and therefore, your myth is busted.
Below are just a few of the many, many toxic ingredients in vaccinations. These ingredients are all taken from the manufacturer’s package inserts. If you have some spare time you aren’t doing anything with, you might want to look up the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for each of these ingredients individually and see what side effects are associated with them and also for the safe level in adults. Please note when reading the MSDS that almost none of these substances have ever been approved or tested for administration by injection. Think about this – we are injecting billions of infants with toxic substances that have NEVER been shown to be safe when injecte and yet, we are told by Rachie that vaccines don’t contain poisons!
Then remember two things:
1- These ingredients are often administered in combination in much higher levels than you would see were you to only get one vaccine (for instance, in combination shots and multiple shots given in one day). The synergistic effect of these combinations has never been studied.
2- The safety of these ingredients have never been tested in children and for all vaccines, there have never been long-term studies comparing the health effects of these ingredients or indeed, for the vaccines themselves, in a group of vaccinated vs a group of unvaccinated children.
Toxic Ingredients:
Thimerosal (thiomersal) – 49.5% mercury by weight
Phenoxyethanol and 2Phenoxyethanol
Aluminium Phosphate, Aluminium Hydroxide
Polysorbate 80 (note – also called Tween 80 - can affect fertility)
Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) – please note – MSG comes in many different forms and I am not sure of the exact form used in vaccines (or its purpose in vaccines). It is a known excitotoxin however.
ASO4 Novel adjuvant – could not find an MSDS but was able to fine this information from the OneClick Group
Dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate
Monobasic sodium phosphate dihydrate
cetyltrimethylammonium bromide
magnesium chloride hexahydrate
Alpha tocopheryl acid succinate
Antibiotics
Neomycin
Streptomycin
Kanamycin sulphate
Gentamycin
The list could actually be much longer. I stopped checking the package inserts at the letter “F” so most of the vaccines are not included here.
Aside from these known toxins, there are of course, the viral and bacterial contaminants and the other ingredients that drug companies use during the manufacture of vaccines which we don’t even think of as toxins such as bovine gelatine which could possibly carry the risk of the human form of mad cow disease, vCJD.
So Dr Rachie thinks that we don’t need to worry about the toxins in vaccines because they are only there in small amounts. She does not cite one reference for her assertions regarding the safety of these toxic ingredients but we can trust her because after all, she is a doctor, right?
If this is an example of Dr Rachie’s science, I will stick with the real thing, thanks very much. True science would say that we need to test these ingredients for safety and not dismiss reactions when they occur – especially when these toxins are known to cause these reactions! You don’t need to be Einstein to see that what Rachie is promoting is the antithesis of science.
Dr Rachie has tried to say that it is a myth that vaccines contain toxic ingredients. Her statement is a myth and her myth is busted.
