As the dust starts to clear, we discover that less than 25% of Australia's 21 million swine flu vaccine doses have been used (many of them were not administered but were simply disposed of due to a requirement for the multi-dose vials to be used within 24 hours of being opened). Was there ever a real risk of a pandemic? Were we simply the victims of a government giving in to worldwide panic promulgated by pharmaceutical and medical interests? What were the effects of this vaccine and why were children and pregnant women targeted for the first time?
