What part of 'satire' don't you understand?

There have been some pretty cluey politicians in our nation in the past. Whether you believe that they were right or wrong, we've had some smart men and women in Federal Parliament who earned the respect of the nation through their ability to comprehend complex ideas and communicate clearly and accurately on a wide range of issues. The current crop of pollies, however, is another breed altogether.

On August 15th, 2017, Kent Heckenlively, author of the books Plague and Inoculated, wrote a hilarious satirical piece on the Bolen Report blog, entitled

  This blog post was so obviously tongue in cheek, even Blind Freddy would have to see that it was simply a joke. Something to take the piss out of our government for banning Polly Tommey, the mother of a vaccine-injured boy, for 3 years simply because she opposes a push to force everyone to vaccinate, regardless of individual risk. But instead of seeing it for what it was - satire - the government went to panic stations and articles and radio shows flew left, right and centre - all warning about the risk to the Australian public should this person be allowed into Australia. Isis can get in - no worries at all. But an anti-vaxxer? Now that is REALLY something to be terrified of!

Lanai Scarr from Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp (major shareholders in many multinational pharmaceutical companies) stated the following:

Government called on to ban Kent Heckenlively from visiting Australia

Labor wrote to immigration minister Peter Dutton on Monday demanding a travel ban on Mr Heckenlively after it was revealed his department had the anti-vaxxer under watch.

Mr Heckenlively is planning a lecture tour of Australia in December to spread his dangerous and incorrect message that vaccines are bad.

But Labor’s Health spokeswoman Catherine King said the threat of Mr Heckenlively’s visit should be taken seriously and he should be rejected entry to Australia under the character test in section 501 of the Migration Act.

“Labor is alarmed that Mr Heckenlively may be allowed to promote this dangerous nonsense in Australia,” Ms King said in the letter obtained exclusively by News Corp Australia.

“Individuals travelling to Australia need to be aware of their visa conditions and ensure they meet all requirements to legally stay in Australia,” Mr Dutton said.

“In cases where the presence of a person is assessed to be a risk to the health, safety or good order of the Australian community or a segment of the Australian community, there may be grounds to consider cancellation or refusal of the person’s visa.”

So Kent Heckenlively, a person whose only claim to fame has been to research and write about the scientific reasons why people might want to get a second opinion before making a vaccination decision for their children or themselves, is deemed to be so dangerous to Australia that he is on a federal watch list and the opposition health spokeswoman wants him to be rejected from entry into this country! Even though he has not applied for a visa nor, to anyone with two brain cells to rub together, was his blog post describing a serious attempt to come here!

Ray Hadley, a radio host who stated that he would ban anyone from his program who did not march in lock-step with all government vaccination proclamations regardless of their evidence, personal situation or number of vaccine-injured or killed family members, did a segment on Kent Heckenlively where he spent more time discussing Mr Heckenlively's name than he did the subject matter at hand. Apparently, Mr Hadley's waters run very shallow indeed! He read an email from a listener in the Philippines who disagreed with Mr Hadley's bigoted opinion of people who believe that vaccine are not above question and retorted that this gentleman was now banned and he should "...go away with the rest of the lunatics!"

Well played, Ray - very well played! Did you think up that retort all by yourself or did you get help?

Whatever the case may be, it is obvious that the government and the media, being well aware of which side of their bread is buttered (the side provided to them by Pharma, of course) are scared witless by the idea that people in Australia are becoming aware that they have been sold a bill of goods when it comes to the issue of vaccination. More and more of us are saying NO to vaccinating our children or ourselves. More and more of us are taking our kids out of school, quitting jobs that require vaccines and choosing to separate from a government that is unrepresentative, bullying and harmful to us as Australian citizens.

They can ban anyone they want to ban. They can pass legislation that takes away our rights and our money. They can encourage hatred and bullying from those less intelligent in our community (namely the majority of politicians, media personalities and mainstream medical practitioners) but no matter what they do, they can't make us unlearn what we have found to be true:

Vaccines can and do kill

Vaccines can and do cause lifelong pain and disability

Vaccines cannot ever provide immunity to infectious diseases.

So Greg Hunt, Catherine King and those other 'geniuses' in Parliament who think that keeping those who disagree with them from entering Australia will convince anyone to stop looking at this issue - you need to know how wrong you really are! Your actions have made Australia the laughing-stock of the free world. Nothing will change the fact that your days in power are numbered and your dirty secrets of corruption and harm to Australians will soon be public knowledge.

When that day arrives, there will be nowhere for you to run and nowhere for you to hide. You will be held accountable for the harm you have done.
