I'm not sure about "any government", Meryl. Look how women (50% of population) have been discriminated against / "owned", denied the vote etc, and not so long ago either. But I accept your premise. Any Jews or Jewesses who I have known (aware of ), I've been impressed by & fond of. Often, they struggled against traditional expectations of them. Caused immense suffering as they wouldn't comply. Good on them.
I certainly agree, whole-heartedly. As I shared on Facebook: The Last Supper, celebrated by Jesus and his disciples, was in fact a celebration of Passover, one of the more important and vital -meaning life sustaining- Jewish celebrations. The point? We Christians and Jews have a LOT more in common than we usually talk about, and as this author notes, we *should* remind ourselves of this more often. Strength is in unity. Celebrate the Common Beliefs we share, and try to overlook the much smaller differences between ourselves. This is true for all of humanity, by the way. And if all this seems terribly confusing, and too difficult to parse out, just remember to Love Others as You would Like to be Loved: doing so brings you closer to God.
The current US administration would have to be the worst in the history of the USA by a country mile. And it has lots of competition for that "honour", especially in the last 30 years.
It will pass but the damage it has done will last for many years.
What is more important is what will replace it. I am not optimistic about the prospects.

I don't want to offend anyone who truly takes great meaning in this day as being the resurrection of Christ, but it did not happen on this day.
As you said, Christ was killed at Passover, and three days and three nights later he was resurrected, before Sunday sunrise- so it did not even happen at sunrise.
The celebration of Easter was initiated by The Roman branch of the church in AD135 at the Council of Nicaea, against the wishes of the ancient Eastern branch of the church, based in and around Judea, the land of Israel today.
"Easter" is the name of the Roman Pagan sex goddess, hence the eggs and rabbits.
But more interesting than that is that it seems that Easter (also called Ishtar) was a dual sex goddess/god thing- that changed sex each day or night. So transgender/transvestite day is rather ironically appropriate for Easter Sunday.
What is clear is that such perversions are very special sins, called by God an abomination:
