This has been coming for a long time, unfortunately we are didn't see it till almost too late. It is like trying to outwit a thief.

It's excellent that you are keeping this topic in focus, Meryl. Thank you.

Canada - yeesh - they're doing it tough with a range of restrictions already passed.

It is non-sensical to me to hear these reasonable people identify what is wrong - and yet Bills get drawn up - get passed into law anyway - people complain - or complain "too late" - and the authors of these machinations only continue to demonstrate their idiocy and arrogance.

Why - at this late stage in the presence of democracy - and when these foibles have always been an aspect of the political landscape - why oh why is no identifiable mechanism for keeping such overreach and abuse in check?

On the one hand, they hide behind a bureaucratic wall of double-speak.

On the other, they bloat their justification for such actions with their personal bias.

In both cases, they are unsuitable to the task.

In a workplace, there are protocols: warnings, strikes, and you're out.

Where are the protocols for Constitutional breach by an elected representative when their actions and collusions go against the People? And how can we activate them effectively?

Done... they've shut down debates. A fair referendum has to have equal publicity. They've shut the NO down by 7/1. therefore since we cannot have a fair debate my vote will be a big fat NO!

The Australian legislation exempt the parliament- very disturbing given all the lies they told during the pandemic

Yes, all levels of govt are exempted. Trouble is that they are the heart of the problem. Lies over "global warming", lethal & useless vaxxes, catastrophic lockdowns, etc.

But in true Leftist style they project their own problem onto everybody else.

Please tell your friends about this horrific legislation and please put in a submission.

Yes Chris, but keep in mind the liberals also toyed with similar legislation - be afraid of the unaparty . Seems to be popping up in all western countries .

Julie, the so called liberals are all leftists to me these days. Astronomical debt created due to useless and wasteful spending during covid, awful lockdowns in south west Sydney (where my wife and I lived when first married), introducing terrible untested treatments and coercing people to take them, agreeing to senseless Net Zero etc - sounds more like Maos China or Stalin to me, than Bob Menzies vision for this country...

I couldn’t agree more, any conservative voices like Rennick get kicked to the curb. I’m 70 and very much a conservative, the govt would portray me as a far right extremest lol
