Meryl

I have made a submission and included my original ACMA submission to the first attempt at this legislation.

This is evil and wrong, and Science will be destroyed as only "approved" research on the "approved" areas will be allowed, and many will self censor and not do the research anyway.

I hope others here are putting in a submission, even if its a few sentences.

I have spoken to Peter Duttons office and they are claiming that they are concerned about the legislation, particularly that the govt and news organisations are exempt. But who knows what deal they may do.... I told them this legislation must not be amended, it needs to be thrown out and never revisited.

I tried. Took ages but chewed through the process, but when I went to submit it crashed my browser. I had to quit everything and restart. I'm not trying again. :(

Just send your submission via email to ec.sen@aph.gov.au

It's on the bottom of this page:

https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/Environment_and_Communications/MisandDisinfobill

It says you can submit via email on this page:

https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/How_to_make_a_submission

"You can email your submission to the committee secretariat or to seniorclerk.committees.sen@aph.gov.au"

Basically there are three ways to submit, 1) through the parliament portal, which means creating an account 2) via email to the particular committee secretariat or to the seniorclerk email listed above or 3) a posted submission.

Thank you, iya. I have sent off a submission just now, and receiving automated replies from most of the senators. I hope they get so many responses that they realise the harm they would do if they allow this Amendment. Thanks again for your help.

I think MAD is because the people will be mad about the legislation

It may have to get done and the effects to be felt …

Maybe the discussion it generates will help people see the truth is not determined by who sits in parliament or by the B-rats in office. It’s a thing everyone with critical thinking can determine.

Critical thinking is not something we as a country want to outsource to Canberra. They demonstrate over and over their lack of integrity and common sense.

Craziest thing about this mis-dis-mal information is it wasn't a thing until 1-2 decades ago.

Yet propaganda has existed for millennia.

Tells me this trend is a reaction to a new problem.

Mockingbird Media was long ago a paid shill for Power, exposed as such and yet somehow that is ignored by most. Just look at the BBC...

I think the power dynamic shifted with the emergence of Social Media (SM). And because of the pace of change in that space the governments have been playing catch up. Which left them exposed during the Plandemonium - where we saw emails direct from 1600 Pennsylvania to silence specific topics or people with Facebook or Twitter, etc.

And of course the huge number of ex-FBI/TLA US Government types in their employ. And their draconian censorship. Another tool of The Monster.

Just finished my submission and the delightful upload process. Will see if it vanishes into the ether.

Between this and Digital ID and CBDC, we are looking at a grim decade to come. If it can't be defeated. Alas, most of our countrymen still sleep.

Peace.

Social media’s ability to control the narrative, Facebook and instagram and YouTube became apparent with the rise of narratives that challenged science.

Science isn’t taught via challenge. It’s a pill that is designed to be swallowed whole. Like feeding chips to gulls. A’s for regurgitation.

The foundation of facts and theories need to be reviewed with adult wise scrutiny. There is much that doesn’t stand with scrutiny.

In the past gatekeepers and peer review worked well enough for THEM. But when enough people saw the evidence was lacking for basic assertions, it sparked a review of everything. This THEY can not roll back. Hence, mass censorship was instituted. It’s a sign THEY have lost.

Now it’s only a matter of time before THEY will lose power. The wizard of oz has been discovered pulling levers.

The power must return to the common people. The people must take back control of science and medicine from the hands of experts. Knowledge arises from due diligence and critical thinking not our schooled daze.

For example: I’ve logically dismissed the gaseous exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide as a fraud. We are not machines running on gases of combustion and exhaust.

Our physiology runs on moisture/hydration. Salt plus water.

Zero oxygen required.

If you are prepared to revisit all you think you know? My article is titled: we breathe air not oxygen.

I tip over a few sacred cows. Click on my blue icon to read.

Thankyou for the link, Meryl! Made it nice and easy for us .

I rehashed my old submission from 2023, too ;-)

Thanks for raising awareness about this Meryl.

And for providing a starting point.

Hopefully such measures help lower the barrier to entry and will facilitate swamping the bastards with submissions.

The best time to stop this tyranny was decades ago.

Our last chance to stop it is right now.

I fear the majority have no clue just how close to the precipice we are.

Peace.

The process for making a submission to is deliberately tortuous

Submissions to the Covid19 Inquiry were not accepted and were categorized as correspondence. No dissenting submissions were accepted I am told by sitting Senators.

This or something similar is what I am writing to senators and MPs

On 26/7/23 I wrote β€œI am completely against the Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023”

This week a former liberal Senator Cory Bernardi wrote

β€œLabor’s Orwellian β€˜Misinformation and Disinformation (MAD) Bill has hit the parliament and there is a great deal to be concerned about.

It basically grants the Government license to impose its version of the truth….”

He goes on to say

β€œThe COVID lies serve as a salutary tale about the power of Government disinformation. They lied about almost everything then and punished those who dared to tell the truth.”

I could go on but the point is adequately made.

Please oppose this Bill and completely rethink your party’s approach to this issue.

This was directed to a SA Labor Senator.

So many Submissions didn't make it to publishing for the Excess Mortality inquiry by the UAP Senator Babet. Funnily enough, mine did. Maybe it's because I have 'Dr' on my name, and I also stuck to the points they were after.

Who knows.

I'm sure plenty of other people also did that but their Submissions just disappeared into the ether. However, I couldn't upload my Submission (green light never happened, it was always red!) and I pointed this out to the Committee and eventually had to email my Submission to them!

Gee, I wonder why they made it difficult for people to be heard?! Think how easy it will be if they pass this Misinformation Disaster: in the future, there won't even BE any Senate Inquiries on contentious topics because, well, anything other than the government's views will land you in jail! Maybe they'll even grandfather stuff in and jail those who had opposing views BEFORE the Bill came in ha ha ha! Except it's not funny, is it?! :-(

Yes Robyn and yes again.

Just looking at the website tells me all I need to know. It is a waste of time. Worse it makes them appear democratic.

Your wonderful story absolutely confirms this and now tells all who are able to read this what is happening.

However the wonderful Meryl is right to ask us to submit. I choose not to myself but it spurred me to write snail mail not email to senator farrell as I had already to others.

Your wonderful story should be shouted from the rooftops.

Thank you so much.

I'm a stickler for getting things done when it's important. People should be able to voice their views. I guess most people don't have the sense or courage to contact the Senate Committee directly and point out any issues with uploading the Submissions. People are allowed to email in their Submissions, too, not just upload them! I wish more people would think outside the square.

I am concerned, though, how many Submissions are put in by big companies sucking up to the government and are mostly full of drivel. Of course these all get published.

And many people don't stick to the Terms of Reference. If you want to get your Submissions read, I say stick to the Terms of Reference! It's amazing how you can still say what you want to say doing that! So long as you can link each argument/view you have into the Terms of Reference, you can say almost anything you like and technically, it's on-topic!

But yes, people need to email the relevant Senate Committee if they can't upload their Submission or are otherwise having issues with the website. Mostly the email replies I've got from these Committee people have been decent enough over the years. Although they do lie sometimes and say "oh, I had no idea the button wasn't working"...but so long as you push back enough, you should be able to get your Submissions uploaded, like I always have.

And yes, I always publish my Submissions publicly, with my name. I've got nothing to hide. it's not like they don't know who you are, where you live, your email & phone - you have to put those details in when logging in to be ABLE to upload your submission! Of course, you could always give them incorrect details except your email address and they would probably be none the wiser ;-)
