Media watchdog will have more power to force tech companies to crack down on disinformation under new bill

“Communications” Minister, Michelle Rowland who will be introducing the censorship legislation into Parliament for debate today.

The federal government will introduce a bill on Thursday that would grant Australia's media watchdog greater powers to pressure tech companies to crack down on misinformation and disinformation on their platforms.

I was read part of the bill yesterday but don’t have it in my hands as of yet. I am expecting to receive a copy soon. The line that was read to me said specifically that medical ‘misinformation’ was one of the types of free speech this bill will target. You know that that means, don’t you? During the next plandemic, we will be unable to communicate openly about the lies and misinformation being spread by the tyrants in Canberra and their tame medical mafia. Bring on the Dark Web, I say!

Under the changes, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) would have additional information-gathering, record-keeping, code registration and standard-making powers that would allow them to ensure social media platforms are meeting their obligations.

If the platforms do not comply, they could be slapped with a range of penalties, including a maximum fine of 5 per cent of their global revenue.

This legislation specifically targets the social media platforms, and that means Twitter, Substack and others like them because all of the other large platforms have already kow towed to the censorship Gods.

Minister for Communications Michelle Rowland told the ABC that for something to be deemed misinformation and disinformation under the laws, it would have to both be "seriously harmful and verifiably false".

"It is a very high threshold for what constitutes serious harm," she said.

I call bullshit on this one. Michelle Rowland and her ilk will be the ones who decide exactly what “constitutes serious harm”

Keep in mind that these reports may be up to 40 times higher, according to biostatistician Dr Jessica Rose, due to underreporting and undercounting from the Federal government’s Database of Adverse Event Notifications (DAEN). But even if these figures are correct, the government’s claims that these jabs were safe was definitely misinformation and disinformation. They should be held accountable under the legislation they are proposing, but we know they won’t be.

Government and Media was exempt

The initial bill, proposed last year, exempted the Federal Government and their mouthpieces in the mainstream media from being held accountable for their statements. That has now been removed but I am 100% positive until proven otherwise that they will NEVER be prosecuted for the egregious and outrageous lies they regularly tell - especially the lies about vaccines and medicine in general.

Ms Rowland said the disinformation spread in the wake of the Bondi stabbing attack earlier this year would fall under the proposed changes because it was "of a kind that was seriously harmful".

I believe she is referring to the truthful reporting on Twitter after the stabbing of Christian Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel. The government was trying to cover up the fact that this stabbing was committed by an Islamic terrorist but even CNN, not known for their attachment to the truth, reported exactly that.

As Orwell famously stated:

“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate open conversation.”

The only reason why the Government wants to pass this undemocratic and anti-human rights legislation is because they lie 24/7 and the only way they can protect themselves from being held accountable is by doing what they can to prevent open conversation.

Democracy dies in darkness and today, legislation has been proposed that will plunge Australia into eternal night should it be passed.
