Yes, and I thought I had mentioned that in my article. But the very strong implication was that they were never vaccinated against measles and therefore, the SSPE was caused by the virus. But it is virtually impossible that this child did not receive meales-containing vaccines if they were in school.
Other articles I’ve read don’t mention that the child received the vaccine, but I would bet they had, too, because it’s next to impossible to receive an exemption for going to school in California due to SB277 and SB276.
I doubt that any mainstream article would say it even if they knew the child had been fully vaccinated.

I, too had measles as a child, chicken pox, mumps, German measles, scarlet fever, the whole darn lot. Never had any later issues in all of my 69 & 1/2 years, except shingles at times as an older woman and during very stressful times (knowing that the virus lies dormant in nerves after chicken pox).
Our children, his, mine and ours all had measles as children. All recovered well. If only mothers understood that their kids would get over the illness if they did what our mothers did: stay in bed, close the curtains to protect the eyes (blindness being a factor), give plenty of water and paracetamol is needed, stay away from books, TV and any screens. I did all this with our kids, they hated it, but too bad, a risk of blindness will always change their minds. We read to them and played tapes to keep them occupied between plenty of rest and restorative sleep. Taking a few days off work is more beneficial to the health of the entire family than dumping all these poor little jabbed up to the eyeballs kids into daycare, looked after by over worked and non emotionally invested carers and exposed to even more complications from other viruses circulating in these breeding grounds. When did the almighty dollar’s value become more valuable than the health of your child?
Many years ago (probably about 20) I saw a mother being interviewed on TV saying her daughter had developed SSPE at age 14 because she had measles as baby under 12 months before she could be vaccinated. Turns out though she went on to receive all required measles jabs after the episode. So who is to say what 'caused' the SSPE, actual illness or the vaccines that followed?
I think I know the person you are referring to, Helen. Was she from Canberra? We actually spoke with a pharmacist at the time who knew this woman personally and swore up and down that this child had been vaccinated before contracting measles but they would not go on the record so we could not go public with it either. Either way, the connection between SSPE and measles is tenuous at best given the length of time between the two. And even if the virus itself can cause the condition - so can the vaccine. And the vaccine has the added ‘advantage’ of containing ingredients that will help is cross the blood brain barrier, making it a more effective vector in my opinion.

Yes, awful! I did read some months ago that the company Dairy Farmers were not going to administer this new poison to their herds. Certainly hope so but I’m skeptical. We switched to buying that milk when this was announced (can’t afford the really good natural whole stuff available here and there) along with the lactose free one and any cow’s cheese by DF. My adult daughter and I use goat milk and goat cheese, not sure what’s happened there, but if anyone knows I’d appreciate more info on this. A cattle farmer friend says he won’t be doing his small herd, they’re just for “their own personal consumption” 😉 and not for sale. His eggs are the bomb.

Actually, I think it will be COVID again. They are talking about increasing numbers in the US and some places are starting to recommend masking. If we fall for this again, we deserve what we get.

Yes, awful! I did read some months ago that the company Dairy Farmers were not going to administer this new poison to their herds. Certainly hope so but I’m skeptical. We switched to buying that milk when this was announced (can’t afford the really good natural whole stuff available here and there) along with the lactose free one and any cow’s cheese by DF. My adult daughter and I use goat milk and goat cheese, not sure what’s happened there, but if anyone knows I’d appreciate more info on this. A cattle farmer friend says he won’t be doing his small herd, they’re just for “their own personal consumption” 😉 and not for sale. His eggs are the bomb.
I have to correct what I wrote above and that is it is NOT Dairy Farmers that’s said no to the Bovaer poison, but Norco. Sorry to those who were steered incorrectly by me. I got the mix up because I don’t drink it so I was misinformed at first. So yeah, Norco is your go-to dairy products in Australia. Let’s hope they too have not succumbed to the pressure.
